Beyond dining room menus and daily specials.
You may want to turn your dining room menu into a tri-fold, carry-out menu (aka takeaway, take out, or to-go menu).
You can use this method to create both the inner and outer pages of your take-out menu. Here's how:
File > Make a Copy
. Now rename the copy using File > Rename Menu
File > Page Setup
and set the Orientation
to Landscape
. You can also adjust the left and right Margins if need be, as well as the Paper Size
Design > Switch Menu Styles
and set In this many columns
to 3 and then use Design > Layout Options
to adjust the Space between columns
, and optionally remove food item descriptions entirely from your menu using the no text
option under Main bullet
Grow font
and Shrink font
buttons on the toolbar or change the spacing using the Page Spacing
buttons on the toolbar. Or you may want to choose a different Menu Style altogether that has tighter or looser spacing.Example of a trifold carryout menu, inner, page 1

Tip! To see where your paper folds will be, choose View > Grid
and select the type of folds you are using (single aka bifold or bi-fold, tri-fold, or gate-fold), and then check the On Menu
box. Then adjust the Space between columns
and Page Setup
margins so the menu appears balanced when folded. The rule of thumb is the Left and Right margins, when added together, should equal the space between the columns. For example, if your Left and Right margins are 0.5, then set the Layout Option Space between columns
to 1.0.

You can also use these same techniques to create brochure or booklet style menus.

iMenuPro's patented synchronized menu/food list system is perfect for beverage menus. You can store a huge number of wines and cocktails in the list (thousands) and have them ready to go, at a moment's notice, depending on supplier availability or changing customer trends and requests. This lets you maintain beautifully designed and printed wine lists that can also sync to your website in real-time.
For wine or beverage lists with multiple prices per item, here's a few tips:
Design > Price Options > Multi-price spacing
. This is especially useful for wine lists.Subheading
and select the alignment of the heading to be Right
. Then drag that subheading under your normal heading. You can enter any text you want in the subheading such as: Bottle < spaces > Glass or 5oz < spaces > 8oz etc., and vary the number of spaces between the text as needed.Bin/Number

You can use iMenuPro to create any size menu and that includes menus that fit perfectly on HDTV Digital Menu Boards.
It's an incredibly simple and fast process that doesn't require you to pay extra for a 'hookup' box and deal with the hassle of setting that up. All you need is a $3 USB stick. Plus you're not limited to the primitive display choices that most vendors offer — with iMenuPro any menu can be displayed, including menus with photos and backgrounds.
If you own a light-weight flat panel HDTV already, it's easy to hang over your bar or any suitable place in your establishment and turn it into an electronic menu board. Not only for restaurants, this works great for spas, dispensaries, or any business that needs a digital menu.
