Account Information & Access

Assistance with managing your iMenuPro account, including accessing and updating account information, troubleshooting login issues, and changing email addresses.

Can’t Log In

The most common cause of log in failure is entering an incorrect email address or password. The password is case sensitive so make sure you’ve entered them both correctly. If you forgot your password, see the “Forgot or Reset Password” section below on how to reset it.

Other log in issues can arise from: a) not being connected to the internet b) log-in token expired (simply log in again) c) using an outdated browser (you must use a recent version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari).

You can usually install the latest version of your favorite browser from the browser’s web site.

Your Password

You can change or reset your password at any time if you have forgotten it. Here’s how:

Change Password

  1. Log in and click Your Account at the top-right.

  2. Use Email & password > Change password.

  3. Enter your current (old) password and then your new password.

  4. Click the Change Password button.

To change your password without logging in, see the ‘Forgot or Reset Password’ section below.

Forgot or Reset Password

If you forget your password, we cannot retrieve it for you as your password is encrypted for security. However, you can reset it by following these steps:

  1. Go to the iMenuPro Login page.

  2. Click Reset your password.

  3. Enter your email address and click Reset my password.

  4. We’ll send you a link where you can securely change your password.

  5. After you’ve changed your password, you can log in using your new password.

Can You Reset or Change My Password?

No, we cannot.

iMenuPro accounts are set up with an email address and password. As noted in our signup terms, it is your sole responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password.

All passwords are stored in our database and hashed for security. Even we don’t know what they are. If you don’t know your own password, we cannot tell it to you.

You can, however, reset your password at any time from our login page using the email you used to create the account.

You can use this process to reset your password at any time for security purposes.

Change Email Address

  1. Log in and click Your Account at the top-right.

  2. Use Email & password > Change email.

  3. Enter your new email address.

  4. Confirm with your current password and a newly generated security code.

  5. Once you have your new email, current password, and temporary security code entered, click the Change Email button.

How can I share my account?

iMenuPro is a single user system which allows for multiple log ins. This means you can share your account details with someone else so they can log in at the same time as you to view or edit your data. Like Facebook, however, there is only one account and one set of data per account. So the last person that makes changes or edits the data could control which data would appear on the menus.

If it’s not possible to coordinate with other co-workers, or you work for a large organization such as a food service company where others might easily edit or delete your data, consider signing up for a separate account to ensure no one else has access to your data.

Can’t Access Account

iMenuPro accounts are set up with an email address and password. As noted in our signup terms, the individual who signs up for an account with their email address is considered the owner of the account. It is the owner’s sole responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of the account password.

If you authorized an employee/business-partner/associate/friend etc. to set up an account for you or your business on your behalf using your credit card (or their credit card), but didn’t ask them to use your email address, or did not ask them for the account credentials (email and password), then it’s not possible for you to access the account if they presently won’t, or are unable to, provide you with that information.

If they will provide you with that information, or are willing to log in themselves and change the email to your email in order to transfer account ownership to you, then you will be able to access the account. Here’s how:

  • If they change the email to your email address, go to the iMenuPro Login page (https://imenupro.com/login). Once there click Forgot your password. That will take you to a page where you can enter your email address and click Reset my password. Once that’s done you’ll receive an email with a link where you can securely change your password. After you’ve changed your password, you can log in using your new password and your email address.

OR

  • If they provide you with the log in credentials, log in to the account and then go to Your Account at the top-right and change the email and password to your own ensuring that only you will have further access to the account.

Why can’t you just give me the password, it’s my credit card?

We cannot retrieve passwords or credit cards for any account.

All passwords on our servers are encrypted for security so even we (the creators) can’t decipher them. Additionally, we don’t know who you are if your email is not associated with the account, i.e., if you are not the account owner. These security measures are in place to protect account owners from hackers (someone else maliciously posing as the account owner) who are attempting to gain access to an account they do not own.

Also, as noted in our signup terms, no one at SoftCafe can see your credit card information. We use the secure Stripe payment service. Stripe encrypts your credit card information in their database and is PCI compliant providing the best security. Stripe provides us with the last 4 digits of the credit card with the purpose of letting the account owner see which card is being used within our service.

As a last resort, if the credit card used on the account is yours and is being charged without your further consent, and you are not the owner of the account, (the account is not set up with your email address for whatever reason), you can contact your credit card provider and ask them to stop automatic payments to iMenuPro. Once the card fails on our end due to payment refusal, the subscription will be automatically canceled and you will incur no further charges.
